ESP/BAS
I am a bit concerned about the fact that I only have the esp/bas light on, with no abs light on. When this happens, I loose traction control and stability, but my abs continues to work perfectly. My research has pointed me towards the esp module, that is no longer made/available and needs to be bought used and re-programmed.
Anyone have experience with this?
Did you scan for codes?
Do you remember when exactly did the warning appear?
It might be a sensor or a wire, not the whole unit. I believe that used units need to be coded using SDS.
Good luck

It is very intermittent. I can go a full week without it happening, then the next day it will happen a few times. When it does happen I can just shut the car off, turn it back on, and it's gone.
How's your battery and alternator? if the voltage drops it can trigger the warning.
Did you try the lock-to-lock steering?
What is this lock to lock thing? something to do with steering angle input?
you need to reset the steering sensor after replacing/disconnecting the battery by the above procedure ↑

Could it be the steering sensor finally going out?
Or maybe, just maybe the bushings are bad. So when you push the car hard it triggers an error that cannot be reset, only by restarting the car?
Good luck.
