I'm in the market for one of these cars after selling my 911 this week. The forum's been great for research and I feel confident that the right W210 E55 will make a great, fun daily driver.
I realize this may be frowned upon, but the classifieds have not yielded me a single response. If it's ok with the moderators, I'd like to put out my WTB criteria in hopes of catching someone who may be considering selling their car.
I've already put several items in virtual shopping carts like Bilstein Sport shocks, H&R springs, and exhaust components. I'm looking forward to owning one of these really special cars.

I've just sold my 911 and am in the process of getting rid of my current daily driver. I'm seriously considering a W210 E55 as my new daily. I'd really like to stick with '00-'02 models. My wish list is below:
-I'd LOVE an anthracite/grey car, but I'd look at any. Silver would be my last choice unless the paint was flawless.
-Solid color interior
-All options (can deal w/no nav, but I'd prefer it)
-I'd prefer mileage to be under 100k unless you've got an extremely well documented service history with lots of preventative maintenance done. Even then, I'd prefer to stay as close to 100k as possible.
-Mostly stock, but I wouldn't mind a car that already has lowering springs and/or bolt ons added
-I'd like the car to be as mint as possible. A little rash on the wheels is livable, but a perfect condition interior, clean/clear headlight lenses, and a clean engine bay really get me off
-Clear vehicle history
-Low ownership count
-Vehicles that have never or rarely ever saw snow/salt on roads.
There's a 52k miles car on eBay right now, but the owner has the reserve set a double book value with minor accident history. I was ready to buy right away if he would have been priced realistically. The car recently sold here by e55LTW (I think) would be something I'd have purchased.
I'd be paying in cash/wire/cashier's check, and am willing to travel/ship the car, within reason. I'm in Atlanta.

Not sure how legit this posting is as it say's it's an '03... but, it only has 31k and no front license plate holes in the bumper!

IMO, the price is a good bit off from what I'm looking to spend considering I anticipate putting a healthy chunk into going through the vehicle immediately after purchase, regardless of miles. I like to do all routine maintenance when I purchase a vehicle so I can establish a mileage/date baseline. Fluids/ consumable ignition parts/ filters, plus wear items like suspension components.
Also, it's unfortunate it's got such low miles and a rebuilt title. Plus it's grey! I think the 2003 designation might explain why I hadn't seen this car in my searching.

I imagine the incorrect bumper might be related to the rebuilt title. Not a can of worms I want to open.
I found what looks to be a beautiful low mileage car in FLA where my buyer is right now for auction. The price is good but still more than I'm looking to pay given the money I've set aside for upgrades/repairs/maintenance to be performed after purchase. We will see.
