E55 W210 Vibration
Engine mounts/ trans mounts, LCA bushings, ball joints, inner tie rods, front sway bar bushings, shocks, springs have all been replaced. flex discs visually check out and I'm sure it's not the center driveshaft bearing because it only vibrates in that range that everyone else gets it. 4 sets of wheels/ tires perfectly balanced and aligned and there has been no change. I took out the 4mm spacer and the vibration got a little worse.
That is, until the other dude came along, him being the "Old Benz Specialist" at the shop I deal with. He asked me whether the 4mm (four notches) shim was installed correctly, and I said I hadn't thought of that. He hoisted up the car and took a gander, felt around the nut securing the top half of the differential mount with his fingers, and proceeded to pinch my cheeks!
"There's your problem," he said. "Whichever knucklehead reinstalled the differential last [when we did the seals a few months ago] put the shim on the top half of the mount, under the nut."
We then unbolted the mount and placed the shim between the housing and the bottom half of the mount where it belongs, and voila! I'd say it was an 80-percent improvement. Now I only have some very slight, barely noticeable residual vibrations that I'm planning to sort out in the coming days (including removing the shims we had placed under the transmission mount as a way of testing for and isolating the source.)
You can find more details here.

Finally I found the solution on my vibrationsproblem on my e55 amg w210 after 4 years -
where I did nearly everything in replacing a whole bunch of different parts balance the propellshaft, without getting rid of them.
With help of ChatGBT - I came over the correct installation procedure of the center support bearing. It is of major importance to install it & driveline with 10-12mm of pre-load. Then using the correct shim - usually 4mm for accomplishing the right angles. First you have to loosen the flex disk in the rear, then push the rear propellshaft 10-12mm in into its 2nd shaft. Then fixate the center bearing. Last but not least fixate the flex disk again. Have the 4mm shim - and vibrations are gone - Hooray !
