a/c recharge advice

The a/c is blowing cool air, not cold. Ambient temp was about 70F. I want to get it ready for the serious summer heat here.

The a/c was evacuated and recharged 12 months ago. The system probably has a slow leak.

I set the a/c to LO, engine running, eco light off, and then tested the pressure on the low side using the cheap gauge that came with a recharge kit. It reads midway in the blue range, meaning that it does not need any r134a added.

I reset the a/c to 70F and started the "rest" menu. It says Refrigerant Pressure = 13 bars. So I might add r134a until it is 17 bars.

Any ideas?

Have you used this? Could help verify what the issue is.

You could follow the diagnostic steps in the link above.
Most of the time the evaporator receives a false temp reading which reduces system performance.
Check for error codes in the AC unit, check values. Mostly it's either a bad sensor/sensors or low pressure.
The leak could be from Compressor/ O-rings, I doubt it's "the evaporator leak of death"

Good luck,
Faiz
