I ended up replacing everything, but if I were you I'd make sure I have the correct amount of refrigerant on an AC machine. I ended up putting in just over 2.2lbs, like 2.27 and it's been working great. Was at 37f driving today in 98f. The sticker on my w210 listed 2.2lbs +/- .07lbs so I charged it to the very max recommended.

First thing is to recover the freon and see if you were low and by how much.
