W210 2002 e55 mkds

Hey guys I'm picking up a 2002 e55 AMG this weekend. 175k miles new transmission and I would do an engine rebuild. Only $4500 my question is while I'm doing the rebuild I would like to get my mods out the way as well. I was thinking going with EC headers and tune as I have these on my 211 e55 and they are great. Also I was thinking of going secondary cat and resonator delete with X pipe. With all these mods what would I be pushing power wise? It is my DD car

Doing a rebuild of an alusil engine is not for the faint of heart. If you don't have experience, don't even try. The process is not the same as an iron bore engine. It should not need a rebuild for another few hundred thousand miles. If it does need to be rebuild, you are much better off just replacing the engine with a used one.

I would not be doing the rebuild, my friend who is an AMG specialist for Mercedes would do it for me. I will look to see if it doesn't though, would a m112k supercharger fit on? I know of one for sale for only $500

The engine shouldn't need a rebuild that early. These engines will last past 400k miles if maintained properly. What your friend would probably do is just a rehone and re-ring of the engine. A full rebuild on these engines where you would need to run custom pistons and rings is crazy expensive if done right.

Don't let him touch the engine. Just not worth the time.

I believe the supercharger from an E55k will bolt up but I believe you would need to run a custom engine management system to get the car running. The 210 runs off a MAF system while the E55k runs a MAP system. It will be cheaper and more.reliable to just by a 211 E55 than mod your car.

Oh ok I won't do anything to the engine except make sure it has proper maint as soon as bought no rebuild what about headers, and an ecu tune? Could I have 400hp by those 2 with X pipe for secondary cars and resomator? I have a stage 2 e55k this will be a daily that thing eats gas like its free
