Good Day all,
Looking at two cars
99 with 37k miles 3yr starmark 100k
for $40k
01 with 45k miles 3yr 90K service contract through MB
dealer (not as good as starmark but not bad)
for $41
01 has some chips in the hood that have been touched
up, and is a little more used, A good detail should help
99 has been cleaned up by MB
Thanks in advance
Paul

Thanks moa4r and DFW01E55
I will be putting some miles on what ever
car I get, I check ebay, autotrader, on line papers
every where I can, looking for the best deal
But to find a car with a starmark left on it or
buy a service contract seems to add about $2500
$4000 to the price of the car. I worry about an AMG
with out some type of coverage.

MOA makes an excellent point.
I had a choice locally of 2 E55's at 44k, one had 26k miles and all options, the other 12k miles with standard options.
Both were on Ebay.
Why the concern with AMG and no coverage? Reliability or unexpected costs?

What worries me is I have had a few high strung cars
and worry about the motor having problems that could
be very expensive to fix. I plan on having the car for
a few years and the coverage will expire.
