Front Rotors help
HI all, I replaced my front rotors and pads this weekend. On the front drivers side the caliper bracket is scraping against the top edge of the rotors, where did I mess up?

I agree with IanB. Check part numbers then fitment of all parts.
Unless you go outside OEM or Zimmermann, it seems there isn't a true cheap way out. If you do its questionable quality at negligible savings. I switched to C32 AMG/CLK set up and the cost was the same as OEM but the weight difference of the calipers were significant. The only advantage is the second round of parts replacement would be less.

I had the same problem when I used aftermarket rotors that I purchased through my fleet account with NAPA. I think they were branded Altrom, but I don't know who manufactured them. I ended up making a shim for the caliper that moved each one outboard by about .005-.007". I wrote it up on this forum. I am interested to know if you purchased the same ones or something different.
