I used to have something similar happen if I floored the car it would go into limp mode until I restarted it. Changing the throttle position sensor fixed it. I never got any esp light that i remember. I got the part from a junk yard for a few dollars, its the same part on lots of mercs.

hi guys its me AGAIN lol
right im still trying to figure out my ESP issue on the gearbox etc i checked the gearbox that i was supplied by the independent Mercedes specialist breakers and i find out my original gearbox part number was 722636 and the box they supplied is 722623.. would that cause the problem? i found out that the box they supplied belongs to a e430 V8 not an e55 amg.. its a straight fit but i think my car will struggle to work with the electronics on the new box.. what you guys think?

new gearbox is not the correct tranny for your car, it won't hold tourqe from engine
it's for a lesser model maybe e430 like you said.
go back to shop and file a complaint getting the wrong box
if they don't replace your tranny coz they put the wrong box tell them you will report them to consumers bureau, you have consumer rights and warranty if you bought it from a shop!

i put E430 gearbox on "1997 W210 E60" & "2000 R129 SL500", 4 years ago,,
no any issues with both cars till now..!

No need to change the gearbox TCU, you have to use your Exist one, to match with our Vin. & diff. Ratio,
maybe something wrong with speed sensor in "conductor plate"..!,,
i prefer to diagnose the car via "STAR/SDS", to make sure what Exactly happened to the Electrical side of the gearbox..!!

The CAN Errors can surely be ignored ... regarding your pictures you have Communicationerror with UBF and PSE
UBF means "Unteres Bedienfeld" ... translated in english it would bei "lower control panel" and this means the buttons around the shifter (not the shifter!)
PSE means "Pneumatische Steuereinheit" ... translated it is pneumatic control unit ... it is the controlunit for the Alarmsystem and the doorlocks.
Probably both where disconnected a while ago?
As Zayed says, check with StarDiagnoses and ERASE all error, do a testdrive and read again, then post the NEW errors.
Regarding to your picture i only see
"Safety Fuel Shut off" and "Faul in DAS to Engine Control Module" as possible source of your power loss ... first should be the Tank pressure sensor, the 2nd one i never saw before, i am sure reading errors with StarDiagnoses would give a more explicit discription.

well ill tell you, my gearbox was faulty so i replaced it with a e430 box which was a straight fit no issues there but the main problem was the gearbox dipstick pipe it was very close to the throttle lever and wouldnt let it open up as the lever was hitting the pipe.. i pushed the pipe to give the throttle lever space to move and there it was the fault solved, took it to 2 different merc specialist and couldnt solve the issue they said ESP unit and throttle valve actuator which lead me to this.. im so chuffed, for the first time i felt the full power of the V8 and felt.... simply AMAZING hehe...
