I'm back... just not in an E55
Some of you may remember me. I haven't really posted on here since selling my 2001 E55 2-3 years ago.
Just picked up this 2007 E63 today. Let me know if you guys are still doing meets. I'll come hang out.

edit:
This was my old E55. Figure it might jog some memories. I traded it to a friend's boss for his F150. He still has it and took care of all the cosmetic stuff that didn't bother me. It looks good now. I could have bought it back, but passed. He raised it back up and has the stock wheels on it.

Honestly, they don't compare at all. I'm a big guy at 6'4" 300lbs and think the W210 had a bit more space inside. That could just be the seats though as these really hug me, I do find them to be very comfortable though. My g/f hates the seats because you actually sit properly in them. Materials are a bit nicer (leather/Alcantara) and it has more features than the W210. That's to be expected when comparing a 2001 to a 2007 though.
The power. Holy ****, this thing has a lot of it. I thought the E55 had ***** and it just doesn't compare. 349hp/391tq vs. 507hp/465tq, so that's really a given. I still think either of them have way more power than anyone actually needs on the street.
I paid just a hair over $25k OTD for it. I really don't think you can buy more car for the money. I would not advise getting one without a warranty or if you don't have deep pockets. Luckily for me, my roommate has worked at an indy shop for 18 years and has experience with these cars. I just have to buy him lunch and some beer when he does work to my cars.
I thought E55 front rotors were expensive. You can buy two of them for less than the cost of one front rotor for this car.
It's an awesome car and I love it. My only worry is that it will need a cat most likely as there was a fault for that. My roommate can get an OEM one for $1300 though, so that's not too bad. I'll probably take care of that in a few months. The left engine mount was also leaking, picked up 2 new ones for $133 from Autohaus. I checked out several of these and this was by far the nicest one. The rest had had paint work, needed small **** and needed front brakes.

Another thing, the Harmon Kardon stereo in the E63 kicks the **** out of the stereo in the E55. I just wish things loaded faster and that the cd changer wasn't so finicky with loading. Having more than 3 seconds to load a cd would be nice too, especially when driving.
It's also a lot more fun shifting it in manual mode with the paddle shifters than hitting the gear shifter in the E55 to do the same thing.

I think comparing a 210 to a 211 is comparing apples and oranges two differnt cars 210 twice as reliab!e, parts cheaper ,built a lot better built to last 211 cheaper interior i would never buy 211 to expensive to own. 211 guaranteed to cost you money, yes its faster but not built as good.
