Thumbs up Just rode in the Kleeman E55K more...

Ok so i was at the Willow Springs Racetrack yesterday and there it was the Kleeman crew with their goodies. First they had the CLK43K putting out about 430hp and then the E320k this one was putting out about 330hp. And then the monster of all monster the Kleeman E55k! It's basically a stock E55 and then Kleeman installed a twin screw-type supercharger on it. According to Kleeman this thing was putting out 560hp and 430rwhp. Torque was increased from 391lbs to 540lbs ouch!!!

So i talked to the owner and he gave me the spills on this car how it works and everything else. Anyways he said jump in and we did some runs. So we got into a straight lane no cars no cops and then he just punched it and my neck just went back like we got hit by an 18 wheeler. I mean this thing was freakin fast!! The guy said that the other day he just smoked a Z-06 Corvette. Anyways we got back and he was also telling me that this upgrade costs about $17k??? Ouch!! But IMHO this is the best upgrade that's out there compared to Brabus, Lorinser and Renntech...

Hey lee2375!

Need to get some $$$$$ first. So probably sometime next year! But i think it's worth it considering the power this thing has to offer. I mean i can't really explain to you have this thing drives when you ride in it. It's something you've got to experience to appreciate it.

What was the cost?

Sounds awesome, I rode in the CLK55 with the Kleeman so the speeds are probably close.

Hey Vic!

According to Kleeman it costs about $17k for the supercharger. I looked at the engine with the s/c on it and it's really nice. I mean the intercooler is on top and the supercharger is underneath so it looks like a stealth. It's probably close with the CLK55k.

2003 CL55 AMG
Unhappy

$17k OUCH .. That will knock most interested parties right out of the ball park.

It makes more sense and is more economical to buy a V8 non AMG 55 vehicle and then going for their 430hp package.

The 55 supercharged would sure be nice however. I can think of better things to do with the $17k though !

Actually most of their Kleeman Supercharger costs around $13k up to $17k depending on which application? They vary. I have a Kleeman brochure and it states several packages depending on what car you have. Here's the link

I would love to take a ride in that car. The $17,000 price tag is extremely cheap compared to RennTECH's $50,000+ price tag for the same thing, haha. I seriously don't know how RennTECH stays in business.
