What is our tranny 722.628 or 722.643 ??

Installed a 2001 CLK 55 transmission into my 99 and now the reverse lights don't work. Any ideas what I may have done wrong or how to get it to work?

Did you do something to the shifter..?, and is there any codes after install the gearbox..??

Did you check Reverse light fuse..?, if it Ok,,

then, assuming your "Reverse light switch", went away..!

Nice info, not found anywhere else! It means that we can tune the 55 komp AMG upto 800Nm without putting too much extra stress on the transmission. Wonder why MB chose to call it W5A580 , maybe because they wanted W5A900 to standout ? Also, does v12 65 AMG use W5A1000 ?
