E55 AMG intake on E430
Hello
I am going to do this mode to my car, and any advice is reasonable for me. So i have a chance to buy whole W210 E55 amg intake system at very good price, so i am thinking will it fit on my E430?
I mean that, I think that the cover will directly fit on my 430, they are same looking M113 engines.
I know that this mode requires some MAF relocate, on E55 Maf is installed on the back of the engine, close to the trottle body. So are there any issues connected MAF relocating?
also wanna know what additional parts will i need for this mode? (does e55 has any different hoses which connect maf and trottle body?)
and will this mode give me some performance + ?
for the clarify wanna transform this:
to this:
Thank you

and i forgot: You need the vacuum line to the Brakebooster and the fuelline including a longer fuelline to the fuelpump in the rear otherwise you cant fit the AMG Filter on the left bank because the non-AMG Fuel Line and Vacuum line are in your way.

Sorry, but you guys are wrong. I don't care what the EPC of today says, that only means the parts you're going to get today. Not what your car was equipped with when new. It's called supercession.
I have a large box of all c43 info from 1998, both MB provided and rare, and some consumer magazines like car and driver. I'll post pictures in the next post. Only doing this because it's been disputed in other posts and I let it go but it's annoying. This is why knowledgeable MB guys don't bother with forums. For now see these links I just googled.
And PS both my manifolds have AMG stamping all over them. And both the c43 and E55 were even different from eachother both in manufacturer number and performance.

Good to know about those sources bro.,
i had "3" C43's, "2" 98 & "1" 99, i opened the intakes and compared them with 5.0l & 5.4l intakes last year,
i can assure to you, no any difference between them..!?!,,
i bought 06 Slk55 intake "4" months ago, also, no difference..!!-!!
maybe AMG modified their own C43 intake for track or drag reason..?!?!?!

My ´00 E430 also had the "AMG" stamp on the intake manifold... so?
Sorry bro ... all M113 N/A have the same intake manifold... i also checked my epc database from days ago ... also says the same, my latest database is from 2004.
greetings, fabian

To the OP, you are better off running piping from the MAF down into the bumper where you can put a cone filter. Gains maybe negligible on a 430 but the sounds will be great!
I have a 430 intake tube on my 55. It's great flowing as the arm is pretty big in diameter. The box is the part that you'd want to change, either to the clk320 box or an open element cone style filter re-located in the bumper.

You are free to take your info from where you like, no problem with that. but if you take your info from mercedes directly they will tell you nothing different then i am telling you:
Original Mercedes EPC Screenshot:
Intakemanifold A1131400701 used in all N/A M113 including your C43 with Engine M113.944
And as i told you, my Modelyear 2000 W210 E430 had an AMG Sticker on the intake manifold. Maybe AMG changed something on the really early M113 intake manifolds as Mercedes bought AMG 1999 and the M113 was introduced in 1997 but then the "normal" non-AMG M113 Cars where also equiped with this intake manifold. no benefit or whatsoever in changing the intake manifold. If you want believe it or not ... i dont care :-)
Actually i have an opened intake manifold of an 2000 ML55 in my workshop for cleaning, when i am done i make some pictures and check the partnumber.
greetings, Fabian

I know that Clk320 air box has 2 snorkel, just like the C36 amg air box, but i think that these air boxes will not fit on W210 or i am wrong? (is it possible to fit them on W210 without heavy modifying)?
about open element cone filter i am a little sceptical, (I already had Gruppe M carbon intake with K&N). I prefer factory look

About intake manifolds i wanna say that when i check this part number via EPC A1131400701 it shows to me that every NA M113 has this part too. But i also found this part number on net: A113 140 05 01 and my EPC doesn't recognizes this part nubmer. Here is image where it is written on the manifold:

I've never tried the clk box, but I do know you can fit the coolant reservoir sideways. And then maybe it would fit. I have a standard 430 airbox for when I have to pass smog. Biggest difference I notice is that with the open air filter top end power is greater with more turbulence from the induction, but with less low end response. With factory airbox low end is greater with very smooth quiet airflow, while top end is slightly reduced.
I've also noticed the computer adapts to both stock airbox aftermarket in different ways.

I saw your setup here, and it's quite impressive
For me as i already said i prefer stock look, and that's why i see no big + to move coolant reservoir, also i checked and W210 has different air box mounting diagram than W208. I agree that Stock system flows more smoothly and i like that method.
So i'd better leave the stock. Now i am running it with AFE Power MagnumFLOW Pro Dry S Air Filter. Soon gonna change it to BMC.

what the W210 is missing is a bigger hole underneath the airbox like you see in this picture it needs to be cut and made bigger so a 3 1/2 inch to 4 inch pipe can be fed down to the fog light area. THEN , u can add a real CAI and actually gain some power!
