New to Mercedes and this Forum
Just wanted to say hi to everyone in this forum. Coming from the world of BMW's, so the Mercedes has been a change, but a good one!
One question I have...
When 'flooring' the car, into the downshift throttle position (forget what it's called), the car starts to rev up, but takes a second for the transmission to actually react and downshift as well. There's a definite lag.
Wondering if this is normal? It doesn't seem nearly sensitive as it should. I tried a soft ECU reset, made a small difference. Previous owner did the MAF sensors, and spark plugs.
I searched several other threads, but nobody seems to post a conclusion or fix that worked.

Next week I will be changing transmission fluid and filter, fuel filter and oil change.

Welcome to the forums!
One of the old tricks we used to use on the Crossfire side of the tracks was a "throttle pedal reset". Very quick to do... see if it works for you as well.

There is a bit of lag in the communication between TPS and the TCU; some people have added a Sprint Booster to amplify this signal.

Has anyone experienced negatives effects from using the tiptronic daily, for up and downshifts? I like using and it help to be in the right gear when needed, just don't want a transmission bill for something it wasn't meant to do.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'm going to take one more shot at trying to describe what the car does, can anyone confirm if this is just how these cars react to WOT?
I'm driving 30-50 km/h, punch it to kick-down, the car immediately starts revving up, but does not downshift until about 3500-4000 rpm, then finally downshifts and pulls. Almost feels like turbo lag.
If I use tiptronic to manually select the gear first, this does not happen, only in full auto. Changing transmission fluid today, maybe that will help.
