Problem opening hood
hello,
I have a 1999 E55.I pulled the hood release lever in the car to pop out the black tab so I can open the hood and the tab did not pop out. I put quite a bit of pressure on the lever in the car and nothing happened. I do not want to pull hard and break it.What does the black T shaped level that pops out when the lever in the car is pulled do. I thought pulling on that is what actually releases the hood latches I looked at the hood and I cannot see anything wrong but I have never had this happen before. Has this happened to anyone before.
