Please share your driving experience. I have been debating getting a 211 E55 but am afraid I'll be disappointed once I get over the novelty of the newer car. I have enough troubles with my other cars, that's why I appreciate the reliability and comfort of the 210.

for me i had 2 w210 e55's and they were tanks.. so far i think the w211 is more refined .. do this find 1 for sale and just go and test drive it then you will understand ... just have you're check book ready :P

W210 if you want calm effortless in power & perfect for a extremely reliable DD. W211 if you have the endless pursuit for more power & mods-also a great DD, but much more electronics tinkering (sensors & airmatic etc).

I love the W210, it's one of my favorite cars. The E55 was comfortable, had plenty of power for daily driving and still looked decent. The E63 has some newer stuff, a lot more power, much sportier seats, suspension options due to having Airmatic and it sounds awesome. The W211 feels smaller inside than the W210.
I'd say the W210 is more comfortable than the W211 for long trips. I'm a big guy too (6'4" 285lbs) and fit fine in either car.
The W211 E55/E63 do have their fair share of maintenance issues that can get very expensive. The W210 is a more basic car so things are generally cheaper on it. If power isn't your main concern, it may be better to stick with the W210.
