Updates on my progress

Purchased E55 last week after a long search.
Removed tint to expose MB glass (I like the look)
Full detail inside and out
Clay bar after detail
Refinishing each wheel (clearcoat peeling)
New windshield (tomorrow)
Resonator removal (scheduled for this Friday)

Took my first highway trip today. About 45 min of highway cruising each way. Super fun and smooth. Just not enough sound!

Whomever is replacing your windshield glass, make sure they are familiar on how-to remove the lower trim pieces. Many have had those lower section pieces destroyed and piece-mealed back together by the very same windshield installers. If you can watch them and document it for your own benefit.

Some great advice. Wish I could be there but it's at a local Non MB dealer to have it done. He was going to come to my work today but he called me and the windsheild he ordered came in with a blemish/nick on the edge and he declined receipt of it. So another one is enroute.

When your ready, consider lowering springs. Check out what dot# you presently have on your spring pads to possibly swap them out for fine tuning the ride height.

H&R or Eibach lowering springs.
Do a search on this forum and the other and read up extensively on it before you decide. It's a personal choice and also dependent on your style of driving, and road/street/highway conditions (ie.NYC vs. Calif Freeway driving, as an example)
Looking at your present ride height, I'm guessing a drop of about 2" front and rear would be good (although some members like a "raked" profile)

I’m not a fan of lowered W210 E55s, just think it makes them look less mature in a way. I’ve lowered a lot of car, my M5 is, but keep my E55 stock.. just me.

You've got an amazing looking car mate and I have a massive soft spot for E55 AMG's. My dream car when I was in high school in the 90's but could only ever dream of buying one. I hope to find one of my own soon when I have a bigger garage and driveway.

Hope to see more updates of your one!
