In the works. I will let everyone know once it’s completed and dyno tested. May sell it as a kit.
Good luck, this will be a good mod for these engines....Was just working on this. I bored my intake manifold, used an 82mm adapter and tb. Only to find out my old me 2.0 wouldn't support the new style bosch connectors. ME2.0 processes signals different. I even wired in a newer style connector to no avail. . Is this a new TB or a modified 74mm?

Oh yea Me2.0 sucks, that’s why I sold my 2000 and bought a 2002.I feel 82 it to big for these cars. This is an 80mm throttle body. Spent about 5 hours yesterday researching, throttle bodys, spacers, and adapters. Gonna find out this morning when the parts get to the shop if it’s going to work or not.

Nice.....82mm is only a 9% increase over stock, so I figured between my other mods it would be perfect. Was looking forward to the throttle response increase but the only way for us me2.0 guys is to go custom. Considered boring my stock but its low priority at this point. I'm married to my car so ill keep chipping away at different mods to do. Doing everything I can thats not forced induction. Lol I love being able to drive my car hard all the time with no reliability issues. Side note. My car started and idled with the 82mm but would go crazy when I gave it gas. You just need the wiring schematics of me 2.8 vs. Whatever system the 80mm tb is off of. Is that a sl55?
I do wonder how much power potential is hiding in these NA 5.4s. I think it's a lot more than people realize, even though the default answer for years has been to slap a blower on it...lotta basic hot-rodding tricks (like this) overlooked in-between. GOOD LUCK!

This is a dodge throttle body, from a 5.7 and 6.4. Waiting on the v6 74mm throttle body to make sure the bolt pattern is the same or close enough.
The 07/08 SL55s came with the 80, they are 1600$ list and you can’t find them use. I believe well over 1000$ even at cost. But we have used BBK hellcat throttle bodies before on 113k cars. Just need a wiring adapter.

Damn $1600?! Sheesh ok cool. Keep us posted. I always felt this was a missing link for NA M113s. The dodge approach could be a cool alternative.
some of them says; we working with new models only..!!!!,,
ahhhhh, you know;
want to kiss your ears, just hold the mirror..
-;-ZAYED-;-
Well this is the same as the BBK 90mm we used on our shop car. you just need the harness and rewire it. It shouldnt require any tuning. I also have an adjustable FPR so i can turn it up if it leans it out.
This is great! Did you get a larger MAF housing as well?
No, I may try a m273 if it comes down to it. But I am just going to try this first. Will the minimal grinding to the elbow it will slide over, and I will seal it with just right stuff sealant.

yea i did the same with the 82mm. I was going to use a
D2 audi S4 intake elbow as a friend of mine did that. Also they use a larger 82 MAF housing as well. So you could utilize the larger intake tubing to match. That introduces the issue of accurate MAF readings though.

I mean, I already have 3.5in take tubing. I think for now the stock mass air flow will be ok. I will eventually get an 113k ME to run ig off MAP not get ride of the MAF
Hi...I was just following along with your update. I thought maybe you “knew” the number. It seems ebay has dozens of 07/08 SL55 TBs so I assume they are the wrong ones.

Yea most of them are the 74mm just like e55 113k cars. I haven’t looked into it but I have seen a few people try m273 82mm throttle bodies, but not sure how it’s working for them. This is a 5.7/6.1 hemi throttle body from the earlier generation cars. Same plug as the 90mm bbk people are using on 113k cars.
I don’t see any point in trying to find a sl55 80mm TB. I am still waiting on a 90° silicone reducer elbow. Hopefully going to dyno the car later this week.
Interesting...I enter the part number 113 141 05 25 on ebay and there were 164 results but all but 1 with a wrong part number (113 141 01 25). They were 50-75 dollars and the 1 with the correct number was 1100 dollars. Ebay is really crappy.
