On my 02 E55 there is a rubber strip that runs along between the AMG side add on piece and the body of the car. Mine is crumbling and if anyone know the part number or a reasonable fix. Should I just let it fall out?

if you are talking about the rubberish piece in between the side skirt to the bottom of the front fender, I have:
A210 698 7130 L
A210 698 7230 R

Those crumble the most. if they fall out the side skirt seems to be loosen as it is not as secure. Buy extra clips when replacing.
