No welding is needed. I would have to double check on the E55 application, but i think it bolts right up. If not then all you need to do is cut the existing pipe then bolt it up. If you didn't want to do it yourself, ANY muffler shop or just any shop pretty much can do it easy and quick.

Guys sorry to leave you all hanging I have been out of the country for about the last week and a half. I have a sounds clip however when I load it to my computer the file extension on it is E55.val does anyone have a program that can reformat it to mpg. If not then noone will be able to listen to it without the software i have for my digital recorder.

The Race unit is definetly loud. I'm not sure if many of you know but there are two different units available, one is the Sport & the other is Race. If you're looking for a nice quiet tone, that won't be too loud the Sport exhaust is for you. However, if you want the direct opposite, I'd suggest going with the Race exhaust.
Exhausts are stainless steel, quite light, & have really great tones to them. If anybody is interested in an unit, please let me know.

You probably don't want or need to convert it to a mpg if it's only a sound clip - a wav or mp3 is probably better. This is a clip of the race version on my 03 CLK500

Is there any longer term information on this exhaust. I love the exhaust tone clips I have heard. Is there not any difference in power, though? I would think there would at least be a small gain in power if the backpressure was reduced. For any of those out there who have this exhaust, was it worth it to you? Do you still like the sound of the exhaust after driving with it for a while? Any power gains.
Thanks![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Also... Is the Eisenhaus exhaust the same as the Eisenmann exhaust?
Thanks

Eisenhaus (the store) sells Eisenmann exhausts as well as other exhausts. You cannot go wrong with Eisenmann though. I currently have an Eisenmann exhaust on my car and love it. It may be a bit loud for some...but not for me.

I have the exhuast and its badass. Has a little drone at around 2k rpm, but you get used to it. Evertime I go in a coverede garage the thing sets of the car alarms.
