i wish i could just update the original post.
update - to enter the menu where you can change the NAV voice, you can press
NAV
NAV + 5 (simultaneously)
easier way to enter menu.

yea i just got this to work in our 2006. it takes a while to get that menu to show up....and it was also noted that the options were AMG211USA or something like that and didnt say anything about europe or anything...but a cool trick regardless

Update for 09SL?
Does anyone have an updated method for getting into the service menu on an 09 Nav system? I'd like to get the AMG splash screen on start-up that I used to have on my E55.
