W211 Pricing
W211 E55's are expected in Australia before Christmas. The W211 model range itself is being released here in August. The new CLK arrives next month.
The salesperson said that whilst pricing on W211 is similar to outgoing, E55 is more expensive (to be expected given new motor). In Aust, current E55 is $192K AUD plus ORC (total approx $200K AUD). W211 wil be $230K AUD plus ORC, ie approx $240K AUD on road. I was called by the dealer a week or so ago to come in and order options for my car which I orginally ordered a year ago, when I heard a new E was coming out.
While this doesn't directly help you guys in the US, it shows a price increase of approx 15% on the outgoing model.
I have ordered my car with Distronic, Panoramic sunroof, Adaptive Multicountour seats, Harmon Kardon stereo and in dash 6 CD stacker and Electric rear blind.
