Designo E55 Wagon
Once you are through the break in look out! My wifes new favorite pastime is looking for Corvettes to race.
Enjoy!

My feeling is that the steering of the 2005 E55 is vastly improved, both in terms of being able to feel what is going on and also steering ease. The steering on the 2004 felt ponderous and slow. I will say this much, the steering on the 2004 was perfectly weighted for driving 150 on the autobahn, but this new one feels better at 15 mph.
Here is an interior shot. It is hard to tell the color of the seats but are they unusual, with a slight green grey cast.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
If I meet you somewhere in Napa Valley, I would not guess your car it's an E55.... I would guess it's just a regular E w/ AMG kit and wheels.
And if you tease me and we go for a short race, I would be scratching my head why my old E55 lost the race
Anyone knows whether the numbers for the wagon are different from the sedan?

Anyways per Marcus Benz our beast wagon will be built starting on 3/20 (Which is a Sunday!) If you ever get ad nasuem while your driving just pull over until you feel better...now back to taking money away from other people and giving it to my wife. Wolf

Of course, this affectation is something I picked up from my friends in Germany and I never realized the reason they do this until I picked up a CL65 in Sindelfingen and drove it across France. Everywhere I stopped, it was like I was leading a parade. I got lots of unwanted attention. In the cities, the locals told me my car would not last a week without getting keyed or stolen. Better to fly under the radar.
Below is a shot of my departed CL65, same designo graphite color.
