The Beast is on the Boat
My salesman told me that my car was shipped on March 11 on the freighter Bujin (call sign 3FPW3 ) and is scheduled to arrive in Jacksonville on the 21st of March. Has anyone ever heard of this ship? I tried to locate it by using
http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/index.html#search
and it was not listed. Anyone know of another way to find its position at sea? Thanks.

Congrats! Mine is in harbor tomorrow on the Resolve (wcz5535). You'll only find your boat on sailwx, oceanweather.com, or accuweather.com if the boat periodically sends out a weather report. The Resolve didn't send anything for 2-3 days after it left England. Other boats, like the Terrier which sailed just before the Resolve, don't send at all.
Have you gone to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen site and typed in your VIN yet? Go to cargo tracking and type it in under "Auto." Also, you can check schedules on the WW site and see when your boat should dock.
We're almost there.

Congrats on your pending arrival. Maybe Bujin won't send any weather reports and I won't know anything until my car gets to the port. It would be nice to know where the boat is, but it will be even nicer to get inside of the precious cargo that it is carrying.
I have tried to enter my vin in the WW website, but there is no record. I wonder if WW is a shipping company and the Bujin is from another company? If that is the case, then my vin probably won't ever show up on the ww web site. Doesn't matter too much. It should be here by the end of the month. Then

Sorry can drive 55, I just assumed is was WW. I did a google search and it appears the Bujin is with the NYKline although I can't find it listed on their website as part of their fleet. You can track on the NYK site, but you need a bill of laden number. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Well can drive 55, there is nothing like being bored at work to get some things done on the internet. As recently as November, the Bujin was part of the NYK fleet. However, as of right now, it's being operated by Premiership Limited (I think out of Southhampton). I can't find a website for them. It sailed from Southhampton on March 12th at 12:30 local time. Destination - Jacksonville.

I'm not sure what terms I even searched now. Some combo of Bujin and auto and vessel I think. You probably found all the stuff about Bujin on all those martial arts sites. I even found some porno movies by some outfit called Bujin (and promptly deleted all cookies and history before my wife used my computer ). Any luck tracking your boat? My car cleared customs yesterday. Should take delivery Monday.

Thanks for the info. I did locate the site in Southhampton. I haven't located the ship on the Coast Guard weather observations site, though. I guess in the larger scheme of things, it does not really matter. It should be in Jacksonville next Monday. I will probably receive the car during the following week. So, the, let's say the 14-day coountdown, has begun. Congrats in advance on getting your fine auto.
