04E55 AMG

Have been in Vegas the last few days and rented a SRT-10 Viper roadster for the day. It was so much fun blasting down those flat roads in this car. This car just screams and roars when standing still or flooring it from a light. It is pure American hot rod muscle that rattles and shacks but still buts a smile on your face.

This car gets all the looks from everyone (drivers & walkers). I had two different young hot ladies who wanted to jump in for a ride (if I was not married ). I was very pleased with the car, but you do feel every little road bump with those massive back tires.

If you are ever in Vegas and need a car, rent from the guys who own RAV-rent-a-vette. First class operation! When I was picking up my car I met the son of the guy who is in that popular chopper show.

The Viper is definetly a fun (and different) ride compared to our E55's. That's why I feel it's the perfect compliment to a W211 E55! I would also consider a 996 TT as a great car to go w/ an E55, but I see you've been there, done that.

I've thought about getting a slightly used '03-'04 for the summer as my Z06 won't arrive until probably winter if not later... but I don't know... I'm hoping to drive one in spring and see if I like it and how it compares to the Gen1 and Gen2 cars.

Yeah, if I could convince myself to shell out that much cash for a car that's all show and no go. In my opinion, I want my non-daily driver to go faster then my daily for the fun factor to be there (that's just me though).

I am off to Vegas next week to see a concert at the Hard Rock and then to check out the AMG event at Las Vegas Speedway on March 28, the day after the show. I rented a Vette from those guys years ago, they are a top shelf outfit.

I think it would be a blast to rent one for a day or two, even better to own one. Only able to have one (daily driver) car at the moment, stupid CC&R's prevent parking in the driveway, until we move and have more garage space anyway. Then I'd get a new Cobra to mod and have fun with
