Poly V belt noise?
01 E55
I'm getting a new noise (RPM relative) that's kind-of a cross between a buzz and a low freq whine......seems to be coming from engine front....possibly the poly-v or the alternator.
It can be heard at idle and with throttle it gets a tad louder and slightly higher pitched.
Sound familiar to anyone?.......or has experienced cost of either poly belt or alternator replacement?..........yep, warranty went out last month

I'm assuming it's a sound of a bird chirping? If that can be confirmed, then I believe some of the members here will have some info.

No I have the bird chirping inside the car
.....and believe that to be fan (heat/AC) related......as it's most obvious on the lowest setting?.....non-existent in 'off'.
Nope.........sound I 1st described is more buz than chirp.....thanks anyway.
