Ahhh..not for the weak of heart...122.+mph
Well the suspected last cold front moved through yesterday so off to my friends strip last pm...had never run on lights with the nitrous...he had also discussed this that day with friends so there were a few in attendance including the highway patrol with there various gadgets(the owner and he are close and raise labs together)...
He had not prepped the start as he has done in the past...a story in and of itself believe me....so the ET's were a little off and the air was a little worse than I'd hope for...the exact times are on dragtimes...but best run was 11.84 and 122+mph....his lights had it at 122 and change, highway patrol using their weapons had it a 124 and my Escort had it at 122.4....the 60' times were nothing to right home over 1.90's+..I have run in the low 1.80's with this set up before...stock Conti's at 25-27#'s.
Even though the ET is down the MPH probably reflects more the potential HP of this setup...I believe this is the highest mph for one of our cars in the quarter...and I weigh 240#'s!!!
I monitored A/F ratios throughou the passes and evaluated before each run...spraying in upper second gear, third and fourth my A/F never got above 12 and showed no lean spike ...most of the pull it was in the upper 10's
Clearly could step up the jet size..probably to .030's...but am happy with this and its safety.

Just an update on my setup...am now running three nitrous solenoids...bottle to solenoid #1 which has a tee at the outlet ..then two lines to #2 and 3 solenoid..that way it would take two solenoids to fail at the same time to cause a problem(if stuck open)...I also run 100 octane unleaded to decrease detonation risks.
Will move up in jet size today by .004's and believe with this I'll be making more than 600HP at the flywheel. I cannot overemphasize the need to monitor A/F ratios when using nitrous...I have also worked a rather unique activation system to further enhance safety.
As I have previously reported I deleted the second set of cats and resonator and several constriction in the exhaust system...this also reduced weight by 38 #'s and was probably worth 20 or so HP.
Rechecked bottle temp using my location in the front of radiator and wrapped bottle with thermo tape....never got above ambient temp.
On the runs last night my air intake temps dropped 45 degrees with spray... with larger jets I expect 50-55.
As I am rerally more interested in performance from a roll (why I haven't gone with BFG's) I am very pleased with these results to date....may add spray to intercooler radiator soon for even more consistent results.

I monitor A/F's using a Innovate Motorsports meter...a wonerful device that allows essentially real time data to be viewed and then downloaded to your PC for careful scrutiny. Feel this is the only way to safely use N20 at least the way I have it set up.
I cannot over emphasize the ease of making 75-100 HP safely when you want it and being able to remove all evidence of it's installation in 5 mins.
