Mercedes Benz E50 Amg's 4-cam, 4-valve engine with 347 HP, 354 lb-ft torque; 0-60: 5.4 sec; ¼ mile: 13.9 seconds @ 103 MPH; top speed: regulated to 155 mph; stopping 60-0 in 117 ft. The traction control can be switched off for "spirited driving". There are 13.1" vented rotors on the front and 11.8 vented rotors on the back. The E50 Amg was tested at 1.0g on a skidpad test - not bad for a four-door sedan.

but didnt the w210 e55 have 347hp, n/a engine. hows that different than this e50? are they both 5.5 L

Yes 347hp to recently current 362hp(new 463hp F/I).The specs above describe the E50 motor. The E55 motor is a 24valve SOHC 5.5L motor with 391ftlbs tq the E50 as described above is a 32 valve DOHC 5.0L motor with about 38ftlbs less Tq than the 5.5L..

The E60 AMG is badass.
