Mileage and Reliability

I'm going to look at an 01 E55, with 52k on the clock. Are there any mileage related reliability issues I should be aware of? The car is a CPO, so that fact allays my concerns to an extent. Assuming proper maintenance, how long will AMG engines last? TIA for the help.

The W210 E55 should last a long time given the proper maintainance. I dont think you should run into any major problems with the car. I would just have the dealer check ovedr it to see if there anre any recalls or anything that apply to the car and go from there. Other than that its a great car, timeless design IMO compared to the new W211. The EW210 just looks so graceful.

Properly maintained, the N.A. 55 motors should go at least 200K if driven responsibly. Only problems in the car would be common to all W210's, such as window regulators, fuel tank sending units, occasional dash cracking, motor mounts (V-8 cars), and freakin' rust!!
