Best radar detector
Fellow E55 owners I am sure almost all of you have radar detectors.Please tell me what you have and which is the best.I trust you guys opposed to magazine articles.Thanks for the info!

I 2nd that...it's a dead horse.
I will give you what I found out after hours of searching.
Bottom line is that nothing can save you from the mighty LIDAR and more often than not, when you get the Laser warning....you're getting a ticket, unless lucky enough to have the schmoo in front of you get nailed.
That being said, I found a site that really put them through the paces and found out this.....
Valentine seems to be a lot better at picking up Laser than allll others. Passport X50 and Bell..yes Bell Pro RX 65... do okay. The Passport X50 actually won overall. I have the X50 and have yet to have the Laser warnings go off...and I KNOW that locals are lasering me to death...I feel like pulling up to one and saying "shoot me with laser so I can see if this friggin thing works"

You gotta spend 10$ to view the super in depth article, but it's worth it. I would post it, but hey, they gotta buy groceries too ya know.

I have been happily impressed with my K40 detector and jammer. I went with them because they were the same manufacturer and wanted stealth install. I have been shot a number of times and have not been pulled over yet (knock wood) There are a lot of good units out there. K40 may not be rated the best, but I am happy with it.

Yes leadfoot, V1 is the Valentine 1. If you're worried about it, you can order both a V1 and an Escort and keep them for 30 days risk free. See which one you like better. Return the other at no cost.
If that sounds like a pain, just get the V1.
