Valentine1: What Mode Should I Use?

Got the V1 hooked up just now. Which Bogey mode work best? All, Logic, or Advanced Logic? I tried searching but didn't find any threads, thanks.

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
I've used L mode for years and it works for me. It still falses some but much better than the others. Note where the false alarms are and ignore them. If it goes off otherwise you've got a bogie in the area.

Put it in 'L' mode (advanced logic) and forget about it. Even if the cops in your area have X-band, you'll have plenty of warning.

jay,
how did you "hook it up".
was it a DIY job or did you have it done.
i have not seen any instructions on how to do it.

Dude, check the W211 forum for my "V1 install" thread. You can do it yourself and everything but the detector will be hidden.

I mounted on the visor and ran the wire on the side. Just got back from testing with "L" mode, much better than A.

After reading this, I hope I made the right choice with my V1.

Relax. Radartest has always been biased against the V1. Look at the check box at the bottom. It says V1 doesn't have dark control. False- it does, and it's automatic. It says no remote audio/video display, but it is available. No user selectable band defeat? Wrong, read your manual and you can learn how to turn off X-band if you want. What don't they mention? Upgrades! My V1 is 3 years old. When Valentine came out with POP protection in January, I didn't have to buy a new detector. I sent mine in and for $50 I had it back in 4 days (of course I live in OH) and it was fully updated.
