And its got a redline on the tach...
I don't think it can be done, though. There has been previous discussion of this topic and there is a big issue in changing the guages because in order to do so, the whole display has to be retrofitted - including the odometer. There are lots of codes and locks to prevent any type of milage fraud regarding the odometer so it is very hard to retrofit a new unit. Keep in mind, I'm just reiterating what I read...

I tried to order a '05 gauge set from the parts department, they asked for my vin and once they tried to place the order, the MB Parts in Chicago (the parts distributor) told them that they can only order me an '04 replacement...of course, that's not what I wanted.
Again, it's pretty much the issues that Elenor Owner brought up...

yea it was a bit freaky to see a post by this guy... I thought he was banned or something... I've got an 04 too, but I never noticed the difference now I've got to check.
