I wonder if anyone here had any experince with Chip tuning their e55's with Wetterrauer...

I don't think power and torque gains that large are physically possible with just an aftermarket chip. If this chip tuner can do it, why didn't AMG?

It looks like that power increase works in conjunction with performance parts such as pulleys headers etc...

But Wetterauer is a reputable German Chip Tuner!!!

Most of Mercs tuner gives 10-15 HP with chip for E55...

Sure they are reputable, but how is it physically possible to get that much more power out of an engine with an electronic chip?! Think about it. You can only fiddle with fuel:air ratios to a small extent... to burn more fuel and thus produce more power, you need more air... And a chip can't force more a air into the engine... Only upgraded pulleys can... Most chip tuners can only get 10 - 15hp because thats the most that is possible.

If this chip tuner is reputable, what is AMG? Don't you think AMG know how to tune their engines?

Dont know what is that..BS or NOT...

If I wont get stage 2 from Kleemans will try that and do a Dyno...

Also I found out of MKB site thier stage 1 is 540 Hp with only a chip and cold air intake...


And SL has 500 hp when chipped by Kleemans or other has 515...That means E55 could be chipped to 515....

Anyways stage 1 SL has 540 HP and E55 520...everything is the same...may be less boost or better exhausts...
