I THINK that this is the first post of it's kind (see pics)
Here is the setup:
So I had WAAAAY too much fun road racing at Road America last weekend and probably one too many redbulls. And I'm driving back on some 55 mph highway to the motel to grab a beer and a steak when.........I see this bright silver car heading in the other direction. I take a quick glace again as my heart skips a zillion beats and I'm not sure, but I think that was an SLR. An SLR in the middle of Wisconsin at 6 PM on a Saturday???
I make a louie at the next light. Floor it and get stuck behind a group of 5 or so cars. Meanwhile the silver car (that I think might be an SLR) is two lights ahead of me in the middle of nowhereville. Damn those red lights can be long. Light turns green (0-60 in .8 seconds when you are trying to catch an SLR) up to 140 mph passing the 5 or 6 or twenty cars, real in silver car, back down to 60 or so (it's a two lane road and I'm in the left lane), and I'M SIDE BY SIDE TO AN HONEST INJUN SLR ON AN EMPTY COUNTRY HIGHWAY IN WISCONSIN ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AT 6 PM. NO ****.
What the hell would you do if you were me? I've got 600+ hp too baby.
Hell yeah I gave him the LET'S RUN racing war cry followed by the downshift and throttle. He did not take the bait. I slowed back down, motioned for him to pull over and he did. We exchanged pleasantries followed by a "my burnout is better than your burnout" show of superiority and I left with a big smile. He offered that he didn't and would not race and we had a great time none the less. Enjoy the pics everyone.

Awesome. Nice spotting.
My heart stops beating on me in traffic whenever I see an exotic car. I have yet to see an SLR, though. Surprised I haven't seen it near the Palm Beaches yet.

call me crazy but for the $$$ im not diggin the slr to to much. do you get the feeling that when people lose to a quickie race to a family 4 door they are further depressed than say a regular race car? on the way home today tried to run a newer ferrari conv but he didnt bite. maybe the news is getting around! lastly, also today pulled next to a new 530 and he was looking sideways for a good 30 seconds even when we pulled away. now THATS a compliment! poor fella, ugly *** car.

Wow, try that same move in LA(Los Angeles) not Louisiana, and two things could happen.
1. You cannot get out of traffic to catch the guy
2. you attempt to wave him over and cannot get eye contact
I Love this story as when reading your post I figured you had just had one 2 many and wanted to do a little creative writing..Incredible and you gotta love the fact the guy is driving this as a "pleasure" "leisure" type ride..hehe, you should of offered to switch for the evening and see how he likes your beefed up E. I was with Janet Jones(Mr. Gretsky's wife) last night she drives a Bentley GT coupe, I sat in that thing and was happy I had my E . Course an SLR or Carrera GT would maybe get me out of my E for a few hours hehe. Great story great pics..

I saw a SLR on 210E close to Pasadena 2 weeks ago. At first I was like, what the hell was that? It was on the carpool lane and it was flying. I actually caught up because the carpool lane didn't move for awhile and I was on the regular lanes. Yep, it was a SLR. He crossed the divider line and moved to the regular lane. Once traffic started moving, the SLR flew out of there. What an awesome machine.
I don't think someone who owns a SLR would be too worried to justify anything by racing a four door sedan.

Do you have a full size version of the 2nd to last picture? (Front angle, with stop sign and blurry truck in back ground)
If you do, will you please e-mail it to me

Nope. Lot's of modified Z06 vettes (can you say charge up behind them on the back straight and flash your high beams?) Scoot over *****, the big German girl is on the warpath and she needs to pass!

Not rickety. If it were located in the middle, it would interfere with the hood operation and air flow.
