It was disgusting...almost made me ill!
Hi all,
Well, it happened. Not THE worst but it was pretty bad
Driving home from dinner in the new E55T we come up on a Crossfire that wanted a piece of the Benz. He floors it off the line and there is NOTHING we can do as the car's only got about 250 miles on it
I kept telling the Wolf he couldn't be dissed like that but he told me I had a choice. Let it be or he floors it and shows him what the car can really do. I couldn't do that as it was uphill and still in breakin but it hurt
It hurt a LOT! Of course the bottle of wine I had a dinner might have something to do with that

Isn't gonna happen. The little sticker in the window says what to do and that's what will be done until there are 1000 miles on the car. I am now offering to let ( as if he needs my permission) Wolf drive the car to work as that's 50+ miles rt every day!

man, that sucks, but nice cars man. im sure he knew you werent running him though. Just curious, why did you choose the station wagon over the sedan? I was kindof surprised that AMG did a wagon, how much slower is it than the sedan?

It's no slower than the sedan and actually may be just a hair faster due to the added weight distribution in the back. I chose the wagon as I often have to move boxes and the dog and such around and I flat out refuse to own 5 cars for the 2 of us at the moment. Also I just LOVE the looks of the wagon!

SL 65 AMG and E63s AMG
Lady Wolf, I have never heeded the warning about breaking in an engine. I run em like I stole em from day one. So far I've never had an engine burn oil or prematurely wear out or for that matter have any significant problems. I agree with the above article that you should run the heck out of it. I think the personality of the motor is formed from the beginning therefore haul a-- next time and scorch the little critters. It won't hurt at all.
BTW we opened a bottle of Chapplett 2001 Cab that was excellent and not too expensive. 97 and 99 are great too.

A SL55 delivered 8/18/07, and an E55 wagon delivered 5/11/05
You know if I let this guy have it, Kim would still be giving me hell about going over 4500 rpm's and 85 mph . Women can't live with them and you would wear out your hand without them

I hate could have been's. If I follow THEIR directions and something happens it's not my fault. If I don't there will always be maybe if's. You know? I think I have 2 bottles of the Pritchard Hill in my storage locker. Might take one of them on my New Years cruise!
