Kleeman Group Buy!!!

Alright guys!!! I need to know how many of you out there would be interested in a group buy on Kleeman performance kits. We need to get as many people as possible to make this happen. If you are in for one of their kits, post below. I don't know if we can make this happen but obviously if we get enough feedback it should.

I'm intrersted in purchasing a kit. But the problem is that I wouldn't know where to take to get it installed.

Depending on the coolness of your dealer....some of them actually do it.

Otherwise

Have you inquired with MBWorld's owner? I'd suggest you PM one of the admins or stop by in person.

K2/LSD and possibly the cooling upgrade. It gets hot here in AZ.

I have been speaking with my local installer, who is pricing everything for me right now. He has done an E55 with the 282 gears from an SL55 along with the LSD. He says he keeps up neck and neck with a Murcielego off the line all the way up!

cory, i think at kleeman told me the gears are only better for acceleration and you LOSE 1/4 time.

Hmmmm, thanks for the input Peter. I may have to research it more. Maybe a stupid question, but if it would be better for acceleration, how would it detract from the 1/4 time? I'm not the most educated automotively, I just like to go fast/faster

This is true, changing the diff gearing gives you better acceleration and worse top end. Play Gran Turismo and you'll see

No biggee....it's just a shift point issue....AMG has the shift points set exactly where they need to be for max performance. Different gears will provide different rpm/speed information to the ECU causing to shift earlier or later which will hurt performance in the 1/4.

1st gear would be killer though...thus the better acceleration.

Just what I was told....hope it helps.

Thanks, so then it may shift sooner, and not hold the gears as long, resulting in lower 1/4 times?

The more people you get in on the group buy, the cheaper the package becomes...

It would be great if you could get a group buy, I hope I’m wrong...but I doubt it’s going to happen. Cory wouldn’t budge one penny on the sc and it was $11k. There would be no warranty unless you used one of their dealers/installers and no savings unless you get a break on the install.

You may be right. I have not seen Kleemann offer anytype of group buy discount in the past

Yes, 17 plus 1500 for installation. There was the price drop after MB supercharged the 55s. I was going to do my clk but after Cory's take it or leave price, I called the dealer for the next available e55.
