Can you imagine the look on their faces when he burns it up.

Most likely will show him the door right? I heard the same thing he did, that you need firesuit and crap to run in the 10's.

I sure hope he does it. I'm sure he won't stop trying until he does break into the 10's. I wonder if he will increase the NOS from the 60 he shot last time?

I know I'm starting to beat this to death, but does anyone know if GID_ has posted any 1/4 mile times yet?

Nah, last I talked to him.....he was shoulders deep into Road Racing.....he raced the hell outta the beast until he started breaking stuff all over the place....half shafts etc....

He is now building a special car for road racing.....a killer Stang. Tried to talk him into Viper, but he wouldn't bite.

He just doesn't get into the 1/4 mile thing I guess....we'll probably never know what that monster will do at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

NOPE. Didn't get it. Ran at the New England Raceway in NH. 55 degrees and relatively low humidity (compared to Fl). I let the engine cool under ice for 2 hours. Ran a 11.51 @ 125.7 mph. HORRIBLE 60' times in the mid to upper 1.9's. Could not hook to save my life. Had to keep coming off the spray cause it was breaking it lose at 40 mph.

Don't know what else to blame it on other than the track or maybe the car. It was hesitating big time between 2 & 3rd gear. Between the hesitating and the slickness, it did not happen.

Going to try and make Englishtown on Sunday but it's Ford Weekend so I suppose I won't get to try. Nothing like 22 hours and 1365 miles of straight drivin' to run a worse time. Oh well, first trip to New England so it's worth it.

Hopefully, some good quality time with the wife on the drive to and from. Besides you already know you can/have run an 11.38.

So sorry Derek.....really was hoping Epping would be the ticket. You're right...Northeast late spring is a pretty drive.

Good luck at Englishtown!

I wiah there was a track review page online on which tracks hook the best. Someday I bet someone will start one.

Sure hope you are not starting to have problems with the car....the hesitation thing is getting me nervous. Wonder if after 1200miles you got a sensor acting up.

Anyway, Englishtown will be the answer....it is usually an okay track. If ya run slower again there...perhaps car trouble....let's hope not.

Hey, just had a thought? Does adaptive tranny/ECU continue to adapt.....wondering if after 1200 miles, it made some adjustments.

I know when you flash ECU, Cory says to "drive it like ya stole it" to adjust shift patterns....wonder if it continues to adjust.

Just thinking.....

Thanks guys. I switch to the DR's at the track. Attention and accolades were unbelievable. There must not be many MB's that race at those tracks. Folks were beside themselves.

Which is preferable, Englishtown or Atco? I'll be on the road to if anyone has a strong opinion on one of these two tracks, PLEASE email me at derek@whitisconsulting.com.

Atco is generally a faster track, but more of a mom and pop track than E-town. The vette guys seem to love Atco. If they were both the same distance from me, I'd pick Atco every time. It so happens that it takes twice as long for me to get to Atco (1.5 hrs) than Englishtown. So I keep going to Englishtown even though I swear it off each time. Many people (myself included) complain about the prep at E-town during the weeknight sessions. If you are planning a trip to e-town, I have noticed that e-twon hooks best on Sunday when the heavy artillery (8 and 9 second trailer cars) makes it to the track.
