Seems to me that they are really stretching the nitch here....I think it would have made much more sense to have developed the new CLK on the new w211 chassis...with both Coupe and cab versions...I think it would have been a huge seller.
2 door not silly 4 door....I do prefer some of the look here over the w209 (wimpy hood profile and small wheel wells)...here the W216 comes across much more aggressive and powerful
but the 4 door is silly if you ask me...if I wanted 4drs I would just buy the 211.

hmmm wierd
If they want 4 door coupe i would hide the back doors.... so it would look like a coupe, but it would have 4 doors, like hide the back handles....that would be a great idea i think...

The suicide door version seemed better to me than this one. I agree with jco-amg - if MB wanted a coupe based on the W211 chassis, why not base the new CLK on it?
