Hi all,
I cannot believe I wouldn't play but I had a Porsche come up behind me on the 14 freeway today while driving the SLK that wanted to play a little It being a holiday weekend and there being both drunks AND enchanced patrol presence I decided not to go more than the 80 I already was Well, he came up behind me then went next to me then would kinda get in front and then fall next but when he saw I wouldn't bite he just dusted me. I was going 80 and it looked like I was standing still! Not sure what kind of Porsche it was but it was older and had a big tail on the back and the letters RUF on the hood and side. Is that like Kleeman or something? Gorgeous car!

Holy Crap...if that is the car I am thinking of....that was a MONSTER.

I believe anywhere from 530-650hp of tire smoking... cornering on rail power.

Yikes.

It may still be new to most of us but it didn’t take tuner RUF long to tweak the latest 911 incarnation. The 2005 RUF Porsche Rt 12 Turbo 05 sports twin turbochargers that produce horsepower in the range of 650 and get the body amplified 911 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds. There are three different turbo stages that also include 530 and 560 hp. But who wants to be in something with those puny numbers. Check out Serious Wheels for more wallpaper size images.

Thats one of RUF's newest models, I doubt she saw a RT 12... it might of been an earlier genration of RUF... like a yellow bird.

RUF is kindof like kleeman, but i would say they are more comprehensive. They do a lot of turbo upgrades, stylining, interiors, wheels, suspension (which come to think of it Kleeman does all those too), but RUF does turbo stuff for porsche like Kleeman does SC stuff for MB. They build FAST cars, incredible stuff. I remember hearing about 900+HP RUF cars, insane.

It was white, not yellow and the lettering was either black or dark gray. It was styled similar to that but looked older. I am thinking 90's, not 2000's. It was just fantastic to look at even if it was blowing me away at the time.

I would say it is either this or 1 generation earlier maybe. Hard to tell from a side photo and I am not great with Porsche to begin with. But it definately had RUF really big in front and side.

If it had a whale tail was a TT maybe 993 model that was modified. Those modded TT's will smoke our cars.

RUF is the best and most reputable Porsche tuner, is more like AMG

to Mercedes and Alphina to BMW...I beleive they are recognised as production manufactures (Porduce thier own model based on P cars)...

Very.... faaast...even old generation ones...Yellow Bird is Crazy one...modern Galliardo, Dodge Viper or 996 Techart 530HP can hang with it, when it runs full boost... ...

You need a S8 kit for you SLK then you have good chance...

I sure if Kim tried to race it, she would of got smoked BIGGG time but for the Porsche that would of been taking candy from a baby. Would the Porsche driver gotten any satisfaction out beating up my little stock SLK? Wolf
