clear side markers
there was a member who recently posted a picture of his E55 wagon, black. On that wagon was a view where it showed it had clear side markers on the bumper strips. I was wondering if that member could post or e mail me the link or place where I can get a set. Thank you

Clear Side Markers Installed
Here's some pics of the clear side markers going in. Very simple switch out. Bought the lenses on E-bay. They came with a pair of amber bulbs, but the stock bulbs were clear so I just left those in. The clear bulbs yield a yellowish light - does anyone know of a brilliant blue-white replacement bulb I could get that would fit? Part number and where to get them? Thanks for the help.

To Lou K:
Yeah, forget what the manual says - it doesn't work that way, at least in my hands. I just took two very small screw drivers and inserted them in the top of the rearmost part of the lens and gently started prying up. The back starts coming up, and you keep elevating it gently until the catch lets go. Someone told me to use a credit card - I tried that and it bent. Careful use of small screwdrivers works well, just don't scratch the paint. Then give the light fixture a quarter turn and the bulb / fixture / wire pops right out. Then you can put in the new lens. Twist in the bulb fixture first, then set the lens into the recess, front end first, and the catch on the rear end of the lens housing then will snap right in. Good luck!
