New E55 Wagon - question
I picked up my new E55 Wagon this week. Platinum Blue with charcoal interior. Premium package and lighting package. None of the other silly stuff on this particular car.
It is simply fantastic. What a machine!
A question for other E55 owners: I would love to find out how to disable the seat belt chime for the passenger seat. The automatic weight sensor is very sensitive and I can't even place as much as a couple of magazines on the seat without it sensing that somebody's sitting in the seat and needs to put his seatbelt on. Is there a way to disengage this feature? I have asked my dealer for his help but I'll take advice from anywhere that I can get it.

You can do one of two things depending on how close you are to your dealer.
1) Have them disable the chime totally. It will then beep four or five times and stop.
2) Have them raise the weight limit for the passenger seat. I think it comes set at 10 lbs and they can raise it to 60.

So, where are the pictures for those of us STILL waiting for their cars? If we hadn't gotten the ed Bourdeax we would have gotten the Platinum Blue.

I've never had that problem but I can foresee it being an issue...something else to add to the list for my 1000 mile check up...

If you are in the US you wont be able to get xenon fogs Piaa makes white bulbs that are pretty close to xenons
sylavania makes them too I think

I noticed that my dealer, Mercedes of Oakland, has a flint grey E55 wagon on their floor- premium package, keyless go and third row seat. Looks outstanding if anyone is nearby and wants one.

Hi all,
Does anyone else find it interesting that so far none of the people who have the wagon or have ordered the wagon that we know off the board have the same color. At least, not that I've noticed. Once mine gets here (hopefully a week from Saturday) we have almost ever color MB has available.

Not sure of the frequency of ship arrivals, however, I received a call tonight from the dealer indicating my E55 wagon had just arrived at the dealership. Dealer is in OC. Color is black/black which I think makes two.
Now I just have to decide if I am going to take it. I am just not wild about getting killed on my existing E500 wagon.

I cant wait... my guy at the dealership said one month for the E55T, which is in 6 days... do you think he said around one month or one month exact?? HAHA I’ve decided I’m going to give him a call. I just can’t wait. To make things worse I received msg from a friend last night saying he was driving behind an E55T in pewter around LA!! AAAAHHHHHH He said it looks awesome... IM going crazy.. I can’t sleep thinking about the day it gets here...

I noticed you have an S6 Avant
I see Broadbrook has an 02 S6 Avant too...
I love that car... especially here in Florida when it rains in the summer. There is nothing more surefooted than that car on highway speeds in those conditions.
