wrong flat hood emblem... I think
I'm not sure, but the quality is superb and looks very nice... Fits perfect too.. I'll take a pic of it during the day. but here's the hood emblem on my desk

What is considered flush? the silver part of the outter arear or the an actual flush as you can wipe your hand on the hood and not feel a bump.. It fits perfect but it is not 100% flush.. there still is alittle lump. It rounds off to the hood very well tho. IMHO, I think it fits like it should.

houston: this reply is also a long overdue compliment for Mario who everyone on this forum gets their flat emblem from including me. I recently took delivery of a '05 E55 and did the swap. Who is Mario and where can I find him? I need to buy another flat hood emblem. The piece of junk emblem that I bought already has the clearcoat peeling off after just 1 winter (but, I guess that is what you can expect for a $50 part).

Looks okay, but I like Jay55's better (raised design, enamel paint). Where did both of these come from, and how much were they? I have a request in for an emblem from someone I know at AMG - I do not know what he's going to send. Is the install easy?

I can get you JayE55's emblem for $75 shipped. Top quality guaranteed. I just got mine put on. Identical to his. Doesn't come with any hardware, just use double sided tape. Let me know.

Thank you... I actually now have both.. I will take a picture with the same one that JayE55 has. I will be in Toronto for a week and will do that when I get back.
p.s - I've actually grown to like the one that is on there now (pics above) I like the silver around it. It matches with all the other factory chrome around the car.

I didn't have to use double sided tape at all, here's the inside view. Installation took less than 5 minutes.
