Kleeman TS-6 wheel?
Any thoughts on the Kleeman TS-6 wheel? I have not run into anyone with the rims, any Kleeman rims actually, so I have not seen them in person. I have a set of 19" HRE 540R, but am thinking of replacing them. Any insight would be appreciated.

they are even better looking in person. i saw frisco's car at the meet and it is stunning, the finish is really classy. i have hre but would gladly change for ts-6 if i had the chance. i think the ts-6 are lightweight and strong too? plus the concept behind the design is unique, that it harkens to the design of compressor

I forgot where I heard this from, but I heard that it was designed to "suck in" more air into the wheel so you can cool the brakes down or something like that?

Like Kev said, I have them on my CLK. If you happen to live in the bay area, you're more than welcome to check them out in person. If not, I can post pics. Overall, I love them and recommend them highly!

From what I remember, like I posted before, the directionality and the look do have a functional purpose. They suck in air.
As for other finishes, I don't think they have any other ones.

I think the idea is to help cool the brakes and actively try to suck air out from under the car. I want to say that I can feel an increase in stability over about 90mph, but that might just be wishful thinking.
I bought these right when they came out and can't say what else is available now. At that point, this was the only finish available. I have seen pictures of some full polish versions from their display cars at the European car shows, but I've never seen anyone with them aftermarket.

KLEEMANN TS-6
Inspiration for the KLEEMANN TS-6 alloy came from the kompressor screw, and the design gives great consideration to weight and function. The centre rim is rotary forged, CNC machined and diamond polished, followed by several layers of clear coat. The two-piece outer rim section is polished alloy. The comprehensive manufacturing process reduces the rims' total weight up to 30 percent compared to a conventional alloy rim.
The unique shape of the TS-6 rim star augments the aerodynamics of the car as it exhausts the air from underneath while driving. In addition to reducing negative lift this also increases cooling of the brakes and improves the handling and stability of the vehicle.
The KLEEMANN TS-6 alloy wheel is available in 19 and 20 inch in diameters, with widths ranging from 8.5 to 12 inches in half-inch increments. Together with a comprehensive wheel spacer program this ensures a perfect result on any Mercedes-Benz model.

Frisco, the pictures of these wheels on your car made me change my order with Harris. I am now getting the same wheels you have. I'm really glad I saw this. Thanks!
