I'm thinking about some 18X10s for all round.
Any thoughts?
How about 18X9.5 on front and 18X10 on rear?

I was planning on running the stock rear 265s all around.

What kinda E55 do you have? W211 or W210?

Edit: NVM, you have a W211.

Now, IMO I wouldn't run 18x10 in the front, I think it's almost promised to rub. The ideal setup would be

18x8.5F
18x10R

As for tire sizes, I'd run 245/40/18 in the front, and probably 265 width in the rear. I can't remember the profile for the rear, I haven't seen someone run 18x10 in a while on a W211.

jangy...

I was thinking of a similar setup. I'm not sure about 10", but maybe a 9 or 9.5 and at least 265 in the front. I know people have used the rear wheel and tire and put in on the front with good results of dialing out some understeer.

It may dial out understeer, but what about rubbing while turning?

I know the guys with rear on front setups don't experience rubbing...

Of course, I would only do it if it doesn't rub

If you're just going 245/40-18 fronts and 265/35-18 rears, you're pretty much at stock sizes.

Maybe Jangy can explain what gains he hopes to get with a wider front wheel and tire?

I want less push. Lowering the front just a smidge will help. Wider tires (265) would be nice. I would like to try the AMG 5 spoke 18X10s w/265s and see if they rub.

I also plan on no rubbing and no body modifications.
