Can someone help a brotha out....need Benzml decoding.

First, I worship the ground Steve at Benzml.com installs on.....but I just can't seem to figure out what installing a dvd player in my Benz will cost me.

I think it is just like talking to Hawkings (Hawkins..wans't sure the spelling), he is just do darn over us on the install thing, he can lose us dumb schmoos in verbage.

Here is what I want. I want a Nav unit in my 03 E55, I also want be able to watch DVD's in it as well as local TV stations. I do not need Satellite or won't in the future.

I need a total price on that...and then how much it would be for the tv's in the headrests or if that is not an option, how much that screen in the center console would be.

Thanks so any help.

Here is the email from Steve

Hi Jim,

It is possible to retrofit either a complete navigation system (DVD comand
head unit in dash and a navigation drive in the trunk) - or you could
consider just getting the DVD comand... and no nav.drive.

We have a special on some of the parts / units we offer (check this link on
MB World for more info:
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w211/114294-mbenznl-august-trip-o-now-some-specials.html)

We can offer a US spec DVD comand + navigation drive for USD 3500 either
shipped per FedEx IP, or installed by Steve. The US comand will be capable
of getting MB Sirius SAT radio integrated. If you order a self installation
kit BEFORE August 6, we can offer it for our special price: USD 3100 either
shipped or installed.

A Euro spec DVD comand + navigation drive will cost USD 3750 either shipped
per FedEx IP, or installed by Steve. The Euro comand has MP3 and DVD
capability, but can NOT be used to hook up Sirius SAT radio (SAT radio is a
US specific option). If you order a self installation kit BEFORE August 6,
we can offer it for our special price: USD 3500.

The units come with 6 months warranty. All parts needed (wiring, brackets)
are included; the actual navigation DVD is NOT incuded.

If you choose for just the Euro comand head unit, price will be USD 2500
either shipped per FedEx IP, or installed by Steve. Or for USD 2250 if you
order (and pay) before August 6. Here are some links with info on the comand
head units and nav.drives:

http://www.mbenznl.com/products/dvdnav.shtml

If you are interested in getting the TV tuner installed as well, you
definitely need a Euro comand to hook it up. We can offer a W211 TV tuner -
new OEM (PAL/NTSC compatible), with OEM wiring harness from comand to TV
tuner and either aftermarket 4way diversity antenna or original antenna amplifier with TV connections and wiring - for USD 1600 or USD 1800
installed, depending on what antenna will be used.

The TV tuner has two sets of RCA plugs that can be used to hook up a DVD
player, Playstation etc. The unit comes with 6 months warranty.

Steve did a test install of headrest monitors in a Euro W211, but wasn't
really satisfied with the results. We would recommend getting a monitor,
that sits between the two front seats. If you have charcoal interior, we can
offer a complete set up (MB monitor, wiring etc, remote control) for USD
1950 installed. Again, the set up will come with 6 months warranty.

Pics of how the rear monitor looks like can be found in these links: http://groups.msn.com/MBenzNL/instal...s.msnw?Page=12

I understand the first part, as I asked Steve the same question. The NAV without TV is $3500 installed.

Now, THAT's what I'm talking about Mike.

So is that out yet, or is it an "in the works thing"?

If out now...got any links you could shoot my way.

THANKS AGAIN!

I think my sister copies/paste too much every now and then...

1) Euro comand (with DVD playback) and navigation drive: 3500USD (temporarliy special price)
2) mercedes benz TV tuner: 1800USD when using original mercedes antenna amplifiers (which I recommend for the W211)
3) mercedes benz center rear monitor: 1950USD (in charcoal)
