200' Burnout - Farewell to the CONTIS (VIDEOS)
I thought it was appropriate to "polish the tarmac" after our last track day at Oran Park, with a couple of 200' burnouts - a fitting farewell to the Conti 2 stock tires!
Observe the "expert control" of the vehicle, stopping just short of the concrete wall!
Do NOT try this trick at home, your E55 is not a toy...

I would like to say that I'm impressed...........but , I'm not - especially since the narrator had to tell the driver to "keep your left foot on the brake".

come on - lighten up. We're sharing a bit of fun here in the forums... How are you contributing?

Use it or lose it.

These Conti tires were to be thrown out the next day, anyway. I would never do that to any of my good street or track tires! My car is SPOTLESS!
As for the rotors and pads, they are consumable items and if I shortened their life by 1000 miles, it was certainly worth it. It will speed up my fitting of the Evosport floating rotors

This whole tracking thing, on a closed circuit, with experienced race drivers as instructors, is a lot more responsible than drag racing Vettes, Cobras and suicidal kamikaze ricers at red lights all over America - trust me!

Everytime I trade in one of my cars, it looks so new, the dealers cannot believe the age or milage of it and I still get screwed, no matter what.
So, screw them, I bought it to enjoy it, not just to commute in it.
Sadly, but for a handful of real enthusiasts, most of the guys on this forum spend a fortune on meaningless power mods, only to "cruise the boulevards",
scare the ricers, brag about their dyno graphs, only to lose interest and sell their cars the minute the tuner's check's cleared. What a waste!

WooooHoooooo SWEET BURNOUTS!!
Also, I COMPLETELY agree about useing it. Yeah I spent 100K on it, but I do wanna let the monster out sometimes.
p.s. for those of you that do track them, I do agree that it is safer than the street dragging that I sometimes do. Either way, more power to you if you wanna put that boat on a track and see what its got!!
