Need help with Logic 7 Sound
I finally got sat radio installed by a dealer.
They did a bad job drilling a hole into the trunk when I had explicitly told them to do a stelth install (they said reception they found was no good so they relocated it -- without asking!!!).
Even worse, the sound quality of Logic 7 is now terrible (for regular FM too).
It is much worse than 'normal' and even 'speech.' Any idea what they could have done wrong. It is hard to deal with sound questions at a dealers. So I would like ot be armed with some facts.
BTW the COMAND manual says bad reception could cause this shortcoming. While this might affect the SAT radio, it should not affect regular FM.
I would appreciate any help.

On my wife's minivan, we had Sirius installed after market. The signal from the Sirius receiver enters the radio through the antenna input, so you have to tune the radio to a specific frequency to hear the Sirius. Do you have this sort of setup? I'm asking because she also has a small switch to turn the Sirius off and on. If we want to listen to FM, we have to turn the Sirius off or the FM reception is terrible. This wouldn't explain your bad Sirius reception, but could account for what's going on with the FM.

The Nav/FM/Phone/CD system is all tied together and your dealer should be able to trouble shoot it thru their computer. I saw the read out on mine when my CD went out. It's too complicated for the routine car guy or audio specialist to deal with. MB unique. It definitely is a loose connection or incorrect install.

Perhaps they did not tune the sat radio properly. The information from you is most helpful. Thanks again.
