How do you pass the state inspection with Resonator gone?

Resonators are for sound control only - they have nothing to do with emissions.

The resonator wouldnt do anythign for inspection. What I'd be concerned about is the removal of the primary cats when going w/ the Kleemann headers.

My car is up in Dec for MD inspection and I have the Kleemann headers with my primary cats removed. Kept my secondary cats and rest of my exhaust stock.

In MD they only plug into your car to check any check engine lights so I so not see any issues.

$75k is a great deal with the wheels & all the extras you've added to the car. Good luck on the sale and I hope you find someone who loves the car as much as you.

Dude,

You are giving the car away at that price.......a GREAT DEAL for the next buyer. If you buy a new car ($90K) and do what you have done (over $20K) they would pay close to $110K and up.

Good Luck

Make sure you tell them that it runs the 1/4 faster then stock 65's priced about $100K more

Sure it's a nice looking car with low miles but aren't you all missing a point here? It IS an 03. Private party "Book value" on an 03 with under 8K miles is only $62K. There are guys on here talking about picking up 04's for high 60's. The $75K price is probably about right for retail private party WITH all the extras. He just has to find the "right person" who is wilignt o pay for those extra's. I wish him well and although I am in the market for either a E55 or a CLS, I personally would probably drop the $90K on the CLS55 before this car.

You may not have realized it but you actually supported my claim. Those are ASKING prices from DEALERS, not private party sales. Recently one went for $59K. I've seen E55 owners on THIS forum trading in 2004 E55's with low miles and only getting $60K to $65K for a one year newer car. Granted that was trade in value instead of private party but the figures I stated are more realistic than the ones you posted because my numbers come fomr actual sales/trades by people on this forum. Although they might not be in too quick a hurry to claim these these depreciation values, you can find them if you search through the site. Still, this one witht he mods is VERY nice so I do hope he gets the $'s it's worth from the car.

Here's a thread of a guys "trying" to get $70K for his 2004
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=selling

Another of a guy trying to "get out of his LOADED 04" for $69K so that he can use the extra cash for an invesment real estate opportunity.
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...hlight=selling

Here is an ebay "Buy It Now" listing for an 03 E55 with 27K miles for $62K.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...67021659QQrdZ1
BIN's can always be bought for less in person and with cash so you can be pretty safe in figuring that that car can easily be bought for about $58K. The miles do make a difference but not the $17K difference you appear to imply.
