Talking E55 Obsession

I joined this forum while I was still deciding whether to buy an E500 or the E55. I found myself started to become obsessed with the E55, so I ordered one in late May.

At that point, I became even more obsessed with the E55. But, that made sense since I was anticipating my new car.

I took delivery of my Beast 1.5 weeks ago. Since then I have found that my obsession is worse than ever. When I'm not driving the car, I'm thinking about it: what mods to make, how best to maintain it, what kind of cleaning products to use, that nice curvy stretch of road on the way to work, the sound the exhaust makes.

I think I'm in love with this car. I've never felt like this before about a car. I fear that my obsession will continue to grow.

Is this normal? Do I need therapy? Should I just move into the garage?

No its not normal! All the members here are now divorced as a result of cheating on their wives with this "Beast" person...and then getting on the Forum to brag about it to the rest of the scoundrels!

Spend ALL of your extra money on mods. That's the best therapy of all. Funny thing is, you were torn between an E500 ($60K) and an E55 ($90K).
Hmmmmm, 50% more money = 50% more HP!!! (actually more).
I had an '04 E500 before this '05 E55, so I know how you feel.

My wife questions my need to drive this near perfect car all the time, yet shes the one who takes it the majority of the time. Word of advice, dont let the wife take the car from you, she might leave you for the beast.

I love the power of this 55K so much I ordered a CLS with 030 lol. This is going to be my mod car. Going to get Kleeman Stage 2/3. SPEND THE MONEY ON MODS. Get some 19" AMG Style IV rims with PS2 rubber.

I love this car, you will love it as it gets older, like a fine wine.

it's a gorgeous car, about as close to perfect as it gets.. You are acting like any normal guy who just paid $90K for a dream ride. Enjoy it!

Nothing wrong with being in loving with your car and spending money on it. Just try not to get too physical with it, remember she is a beast.

My wife seriously questioned buying the E55, before and for the 1st month.

Now she hides the keys whenever she can, so she can have the car for a day and I get the X5.

See what I mean. We get stuck with the lowered power cars, while they take the beast. So frustrating sometimes.

There are times when I just want to take the beast down to the grocery store or something just cause its so much fun to drive, but of course she has taken the car first before I can get it. Even my mom takes the car lol. We even bought my parents an S600 a year ago, and she still takes the beast lol.

Once I get the CLS no one is going to drive the car but me. :v
