tpm technique
just pulled out of the dealer with repair of tpm and noted that it said the same thing that i brought it in with:reset monitor etc. so......after eighteen times pushing the reset and and clicking on yes I do want the tpm to work and having it not work I said the usual chant f***it and within a half hour it was working. I wish mercedes would make this technique clear. I just stumbled upon it.

When my car was new, a tech drove it for several miles to calibrate the system. The salesman told me this was necessary. Is it possible that the dealer never drove your car? Also, which reset button are you talking about. I know of only one, the one for the trip odometer and trip computer. Just want a leg up in case I have trouble with mine later on. Thanks.

calibration
over the last 20k miles the tpm has gone out about 8 times; occassionally it just comes on by itself again, at other times I have to push the r button(which is not labled as such, but is the reset button for miles etc.) and it starts again. It so strange; at times it works great for two-three months. at other times it goes out and restarts in the next half our.
